From disciple to betrayer, Judas Iscariot is a figure with whom not many would choose to associate. It’s hard to imagine how someone could walk with Jesus and yet betray him. So why would Christ choose someone like Judas? Are we all just like him in more ways than we realize? • Walter Strickland is Assistant Professor of Systematic and Contextual Theology at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has contributed to, edited, and authored multiple books in his areas of research interest, which include the African American theological tradition, education theory, and theology of work.
